Other than the turkey...

Besides eating too much turkey (Forrest) and broccoli casserole (me), here is a photo heavy summary of what we did on our Thanksgiving break....
 Forrest made cinnamon rolls.....
 and semi-homemade biscuits.
Grape jelly is where it's at.
We tried to force Salvador to love his new Christmas head piece - not happening.
This is our friend, Streets - he's pretty much awesome.  He wheels and deals cigars and wine at
The Humidor   If you are in Dothan, go check it out (located on 84 next to Mexican Connection)
Jimmy was in Dothan visiting his family for turkey day!  (Missed you, Mary Clayton!!!!)
You probably remember him from our weekend in Birmingham post and he's a member of ChainSmokers BBQ <---if you haven't already, LIKE them on facebook...they may be smokin' in a town near you soon!
Forrest and I decorated the Christmas tree in our pajamas with holiday music blaring from the television and the air conditioner on full blast - it's still hot.
Salvador was no help at all.
 Officially ready for gifts!
Salvie can't stand the tree (or holiday music).  At least he's not trying to tackle it.....yet.
Our friend, Tyler, was in town for the holidays!!!
 More accordion noise....
Too many minutes later and they were still going strong.
Salvador chewed his way through the accordion concert while I drank my way through :)
And this was the only thing I cooked microwaved all weekend long - tortillas, black beans, salsa, shredded cheese, and arugula.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  1. Fantastic! I hope Salvie doesn't go after the tree too hard; it does look awfully lovely and perhaps even could be complicated to restore its proper glory were he to take it out.

And now all I can think about are the cinnamon rolls above, and so I'll have to go with the cheesecake we have instead of the cinnamon rolls. :D

I hope your Thanksgiving went smashingly!

  2. If Salvie tackles the tree then he's wearing that Christmas head piece for the next month :) Cinnamon rolls were delicious but I would take cheesecake too!

Hope you guys had a fantastical Thanksgiving too!
